This utility belongs to the category of privacy protectors that clean log files such as the cache and temporary Web files. It offers a number of security options for deleting files and erasing data so it can't be recovered. The interface is very clear, but BitCleaner doesn't add a Securely Delete option to the Explorer context menu. We also were a bit disappointed you can't schedule a cleaning session. Though its high security options make this a viable tool for erasing your tracks, BitCleaner's lack of configurability and the absence of a few key features keep it out of the winner's circle.

It drops out and hangs shortly after it starts leaving to guess if it's still working or (which after hours or waiting, it isnt).
