  Summary

  A few years ago when I was working at home, the workstation failed. I couldn't have gotten it back up again without this CD. I was grateful that someone with this level of technical expertise offers such a powerful tool at no cost.

• Waste of my time, even after I figured it out

  Pros

  Looks very exciting with 100's of plugins I couldn't use. P.S. source=Installation disk path not that it matters because it still wont work.

  Cons

  I was using a dell oem xp disc for my source but I made sure the "oem fix" was enabled. It kept catching errors with the regkeys and could not gain access to delete the reg hives it created thereby rendering it useless.

  Summary

  I even tried it in safe mode a few times with a few different disks and settings. It could not build the registry. Bottom line, when things seem to good to be true they probably are. I think I'll use a linux environment in the future or just keep hunting down good old dos utilities. I seriously and strongly advise waisting your time with this if you have an OEM version of XP (i don't see what difference it makes). If your XP isn't oem, maybe just try to build the registry in safe mode (F8 during win startup) for 20-30 mins and if you are still getting errors, just cut your losses. 1 Error renders the entire time spent absolutely useless. good luck

• Got Me Out of Trouble - Often

  Summary

  Had a friends computer with a bad boot.ini file and this program fixed it and the machine was now OK. Disk check feature is ok for almost all drives. Good for getting files off of non-bootable machines. Solid set of tools with no surprises, but not a tool for the newcomer.

  It is clunky at best. It does not create a boot disk as described. I've been a computer user since 1972, happily migrating from mainframe to micro's his software does not pull all the needed files to make a boot disk.

  Summary

  The software refused too many of the needed files on my Windows source disk contrary to the claims that it would. completely refused to work as claimed in spite of all my efforts to make it work. A total waste of my time. I told the intro menu exactly where to find the source files, where to create its log file and where to create the boot disk image on blank CD's or DVD'S, wasting 2 CD-R, and wearing out my patience. I think the positive rev reviews before mine may have been written B4 the users ever tried get the software to work. It doesn't work, PERIOD!

  Easy to create and use. Loaded first time and allowed me to copy directories onto a spare disk when my XP had a registry problem and it's free!!!

• A Very Good Tool Saved My Data

  Pros

  One of my notebook was infected by virus. It blocked all the program and even could not start with safe mode. I had struggled for two days and tried many different tools. Finally I found this tool to get my data before reinstall the Window XP.

  Cons

  In the file management, it does not allow to delete directory only file. It is not a big problem just a little inconvenience.

  Summary

  I like this product. Very easy to use and solve problem.

  The only pro of this software is when you DO NOT USE IT.

  Cons

  Boot your PC from CD-ROM and have full access to NTFS volumes, YEAH RIGHT!! great if you have the installation files to start of with. I need a program that WILL just create the dam disk or CD.

  Summary

  In Summary the only thing I liked about this program is that you could uninstall it from the add/remove programs window which quite alot of programs tend to hide themselves away from.

  rite, i had to repair a laptop for a client could not log into safe mode , blue screens , windows kept logging me in ,then out , a total nitemare so i found this product created an install disk placing relevant files needed, BINGO THE MACHINE BOOTED WITH EASE. a brilliant product , Fantastic if you dont know much about pc`s then you mite be pulling your hair out, every thing else is self explanatory

  Very well engineered. Programmer has really spent a lot of time and thought on developing a straight-forward, user friendly app. For anyone knowledgeable enogh to know they need this software, there's no reason they can't get excellent results with it.
