  It opened, and had some cool check boxes. It has a cool water drop effect

  The program had a cool look to it, and a million check boxes. it could use 8 algorithms, and seemed to be the answer to every cleaning need I might have.....but, it crashes. Every time. At least on my machine it did. Nice idea, but it didn't work. Than goodness it was free. Uninstalled.

  This program erases your tracks and can either wipes everything through a series of selectable wipe algorithms (including Peter Gutman's 35-pass ultimate wipe algorithm, or other DoD standard 7-pass or 3-pass, pseudo-random 1-pass, or zeros 1-pass), or lets you simple delete files without wiping. I love options, and when a program like this offers the user a choice of how they want files wiped, that makes me very happy and gives me the level of control I prefer when choosing to wipe sensitive data on my hard drive. <p> <p>In addition to the cool wiping algorithms, you can choose to have the wiping occur on a schedule or at boot-up, shut-down, or Internet browser open/close. <p> <p>This is the best tracks cleaner, privacy guardian, and comprehensive security measure I've ever used for leaving my important data alone while getting rid of the data you don't, permanently. <p> <p>There is nothing else on CNET that is so easy to use and yet so effective at doing its job. Truly a great program!!!

  Cons

  Unfortunately, it doesn't show a task bar of how much time remains till wiping/erasing is complete. This would be helpful so you could know how long to wait at your computer or go do something else. The length of time the program takes to wipe depends on the level of security (# of passes) algorithm you choose. The 35-pass algorithm is the most secure, but takes the longest to wipe.

  I've locked into window washer for the past two years and still trying many cleaners. I really didn;y think that I would find a more detailed product, then......I stumbled onto ACTIVE PRIVACY GUARDIAN, by mistake while i was checking out (Privacy guardian). Hands down this cleaner si the absolute very best. THe Makers put GREAT care into each and every detail. I really love how with complete ease you can check any file's contents prior to a clean. I read the other guys review about this not cleaning??? I think dude you may want to try to lay off the weed at least until the afternoon or something. THis program is flawless. You may want to try this out for youselves (Softwares creators as well) THere may be a lesson learned as to how to make a product for the customer. ie complete ease with much depth but each option is never a waiste. I really Love how they just stuck to a cleaner and not for example throwing in a "Pop up"' killer with a spyware detective and a utility that you can change your font once in a while like (PC-Tools) so many other one night wonder software products. IT's a cleaner and runs every run at it's very best. I still wlll keep my window washer but I really don't use it anymore Thank You APGW

  Pros

  This product works great on my machine. What I like most is its interface and not to mention its speed. The interface was obviously designed by someone who uses software. Why can't the other companies do the same thing?! Also it has a nice large database of software that it can wash. I've tried them all and I was more than happy to purchase it.

  I us ver 1.0.0.1 <p> <p> <p>It wipes everything from ie history(really useful) to google search history. Works for many browsers and loads of apps. Useful for People to hide their internet usage from elders or parents <p> <p>No virus, ad or spy ware

  It does not remove everything. First go to history in ie and manually remove. Then start apg and remove it from history. Then remove it from typed history. <p>Does not let you see inside temp files. <p> <p>The scrolling area for files is too small resulting in headaches <p> <p>A small window pops up when you close apg urging you to buy the product
