The Tri-Seesaw game is played as a match between three players, where all players are involved in a mutual friend/enemy relationship. The game was created to enable the players to experience and feel the shifting process of communication. To win you have to pay keen attention to the others. The rules are designed so that you need to read the situation and sometimes collaborate to find the path to victory, like giving points to others in order to gain your own points. We wanted the players to experience it as a communication process between multiple stakeholders.
Our profession is graphic design, and the quintessence of graphic design is giving form to communication. We created this game to express one aspect of communication in a world of ever-complicated human relationships. We want you to experience it not just as a simple win-or-lose match but as a communication involving complex relations. The more you think, the more you will enjoy it.
