Pros
I like the new look, though I didn't have much chance to try it.
Cons
It does not allow adding books to the library in this version.
Summary
I have been a QuickVerse user since 1996 and it was time to update my software. I never felt a need to do so, since version 7.0 still clunked along well and let me find what I wanted in my library. My hope was to use the newer interface with my library. However the starter version does not allow any library modifications, thus my comment that it is NOT a fully functional version of the program. This was confirmed by one of their sales reps.
With sadness, I say goodbye to QuickVerse as my BIble study software. I am now with Logos 4.0 and quite pleased with their advanced system.

Did you verify if you got all the books that they advertise for the version you purchased?
Pros
Free GUI. Looks nice. You get about three free basic books.
Cons
ALL resources are available ONLY for a high price! What you get is teh basic program. You will have to pay to "unlock" all downloads.
Summary
I was misled when I tired this download. I looked at it with caution because if something seems to good to be true, it is! This program is no exception. Advertised for sale elsewhere for hundreds and even thousands of dollars, I knew there had to be a catch. As soon as I downloaded a couple books, I saw I had to call a phone number and PAY to "unlock" the downloaded books. The prices of these books range from about $15 all the way up inot the $1,000's! Needless to say, I uninstalled the program right away as the resources available for purchase are available elsewhere (some in print and some software) for considerably less money. Quickverse is way over-priced on their "locked" resources!
My advice to you: Skip this download and keep looking. This one is not free, and not even inexpensive. Nothing to see here...

Pros
None. Worse Bible software I've ever seen.
Cons
Very buggy. I reviewed 10 Bible programs and this is the worse I have ever tried to use. It's interface is lousy. Click on any given item and it will bring up something different. Obviously made on Macs. because on PC it shows ansi characters.

Pros
I think everything should be available up front, instead of going on-line contiueally for more information, such as commentaries, and dictionaries. Thats why I think Biblemax is a better product, because everything is included.
Cons
I did'nt like it period.
Summary
There is no bottom line with this product. If you're offering a product, everything should be included; not just one Bible translation, or 1 dictionary, or commentary. I'll stay with Biblemax, and highly recommend it to all serious students of the Bible.

its funny you review this product like getting an off the shelf item. This is only a starter with open source books. They can't legally put other books on there without paying royalties. Even Biblemax's free version has limited books.
