This app uses the theory of complex analysis (conformal mapping) to calculate the flow-fields and aerodynamics of the potential flow around a Karman-Trefftz airfoil (Joukowski airfoil is the special case with a cusp trailing edge) or circular cylinder.
- Interactively generates & visualizes the potential flow around a Karman-Trefftz airfoil or circular cylinder.
- Interactively calculates & plots the corresponding surface pressure plot.
- Exports & shares the results (the velocity fields, airfoil coordinates, Cp distribution on airfoil's surface, and also the potential & streamfunction fields) in MATLAB/Octave, Python, or CSV formats, along with some MATLAB or Python commands to help the user to quickly plot the results in MATLAB/Octave or in Python console.
