ie8 fix

iVideo for Mac

Publisher's Description

From Waterfall Software:

iVideo keeps movies the same way Apple's iPhoto keeps pictures. With an intuitive user interface, iVideo is definitely something you'll want to use a lot. iVideo makes watching your videos a snap. Simply double click a movie in the list and hit play. Its that simple. Stop using folders to organize movies, iVideo can create albums on the fly, letting you organize your whole video library. Whether you keep home videos, movie trailers, or other videos, iVideo can keep them all separate and organized.

"Version 4.5 somewhat buggy. Use Version 4.3.2."

    September 7, 2010  |   By space--2008

    Version: iVideo 4.5

    Pros

Good interface, well organized, good movie playback.

    Cons

Difficulty in adding movies to a Playlist. Often in the Open dialog box, movie names are "grayed out" and not selectable. When you do add a movie, 4.5 does not put it in your selected Playlist--you have to drag it from Recent Downloads.

    Summary

Wait for a future version with bug fixes, of use version 4.3.2.

    "Cannot recommend"

    Version: iVideo 3.0.2

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is a simple application that builds upon the users recognition of iLife applications and I certainly like the simple web export function. Sure it misses some bells and whistles but QTPro/iMovie fill in all the gas most folk will need.

The only trouble is that it is horribly unstable and in over two years I have had it running for more than a week before hitting snags that always end up in OutofBoundsExceptions not being handled and the application being rendered useless.

I must hhave run over 50 different recoveries and on one occassion lost my complete video library (though I beieve this stupid logic error has been resolved by the developer).

They are nice guys and do try to help but when I pay good money for unusable software they still have to get "nill points" from me.

Unbelievable - exactly what I was waiting for. I have a lot of movies to get organized. Always searching the right folder, looking for the right movie took some time. but now it's just a snap and I can watch any movie at any time withoutwalking through sevaral folders on my harddisk.

Really happy with it now, in particular with the option, move files to iVideo library. What I'd love to see now is the option to import real and mediaplayer files with the option to open them in their own player. Here's to version 3 then :D

    "Great app!"

Very nice app indeed! I really like it but I miss one feature that Movie Jukebox does have. I keep all my movies on cd's because of limited HD space. When I want to play a movie that's in my playlist but not in my cd drive the program gives an error where Movie Jukebox asks for the right cd. It does work as expected when you put the cd in first. Just a minor issue with an otherwise great program.

I believe iPhoto should watch and learn when it comes consistency and speed. This app is awsome. Highly recommended!
Tip: If you get the 3iv and DivX plugins for Quicktime you can also import the ones quicktime can play into the library.

    "Works great"

    June 21, 2004  |   By Peter G. Force

    Version: iVideo 2.2

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
But I would still very much like that it could be set to automatically update certain folders automatically, so that I didn't have to add movie manually each time. That way I could just drop the mivie in, say, the Movies folder and iVideo would scan that folder and add or remove accordingly.
