"Navigating is Cumbersome and non-intuitive!"

November 14, 2014  |  By JesherSpelling

 |  Version: Apple iTunes 12.0.1.26

Pros

None I can think of.

Cons

Hard to just update your podcasts, the button in the top right with you iPod icon looks like a pull down - add to > wow....took me til' after 1AM to figure it out - HELP is awful on the pulldown. They're going for lean - but to a vetran user, it's JUST MEAN and ugly to work with. Please fire the developers responsible for this travesty.

Summary

Apple sure loves their updates, but hates they're loyal fans of iTunes. Never forgave them from ripping out the BURN DISC option. What else would I expect from a bunch of control freak liberals who hate America - they want TOTAL control and I'm sure have installed more ways to SPY on uses and their libraries, content, etc.

"Apple hates it's users"

November 05, 2014

 |  Version: Apple iTunes 12.0.1.26

Pros

It's fresh and new???

Cons

No auto-repeat on album play. Filtering which used to be a god-send, is now limited to 2 fields, usually genre and artist, then you must Scroll, scroll, scroll to find what you need. Or, use the search for everything, which will group together things you don't necessarily want to hear side-by-side.

Summary

I've always been a big fan of iTunes, until now. It's enough to make a grown man want to cry. Why does Apple hate us?

"New update sucks"

November 01, 2014  |  By sandy.cheairs

 |  Version: Apple iTunes 12.0.1.26

Pros

None, this new version is hard to navigate and makes it hard to update any apps.

Cons

It is impossible to update my pdf, bluefire reader and comic app now. I can't pull from my own computer to upload the files. I REFUSE to utilize the "cloud" crap and would like to have the accessibility back.

Summary

Change it back to what it was before this update.

"Great if you like extra steps to navigate your media"

October 28, 2014  |  By sduncan813

 |  Version: Apple iTunes 12.0.1.26

Pros

The new iTunes 12 window is rectangular, so at least it still fits on screen ok.

Cons

iTunes 12 is so bad that even the loyal apple users who buy every new product will begin to question Apple's direction. The biggest problem is the removal of sidebar. The sidebar contained a list of every category in your library, every playlist, and every device. Well it's gone. Now you have to work between 3 different locations, the top center menu, the top left munu, and a half ass sidebar that shows up depending on which of the of the other two menus you've selected. The song/movie info window is abysmal. just text floating around. and you can't copy paste album art anymore, you have to go through a menu to upload it.

Summary

Dear Cnet, please make iTunes 11 available for downgrading

"Apple has truly lost it's touch - SAD"

October 19, 2014  |  By kennouse

 |  Version: Apple iTunes 12.0.1.26

Pros

Can't come up with one yet

Cons

loss of many features
loss of playlist functions and ease of adding songs to the list
loss of easily moving from movies to music to apps - did they actually map this version
FIRE whoever designed the new iTunes
Start testing your software before releasing it
Is it time to change and move on?

Summary

Disappointing. don't upgrade

"UN-INSTALLED because OVER-CONTROLLING !!"

September 23, 2014  |  By rocminister

 |  Version: Apple iTunes 11.4.0.18

Pros

> Simple and Clean Interface.

Cons

> When I Installed and started searching for Music it started Loading all kinds of Music that wasnt on my Computer??
> So I stopped the Search and tried to manually Load MY MUSIC !! But alas there was no way to do that. They have removed "Add Folder to Library" option. They have removed "Consolidate Folders" from advanced menu. So I changed the address of the Itunes Music Folder to the Folder that holds all my music. But New Itunes would not recognize or LOAD ANY OF MY MUSIC !! ;(
> SO ITUNES IS TRYING TO CONTROL MY COMPUTER AND MUSIC FOLDERS. I t gives me no option to CHOOSE what music I want on Itunes and even tries to Force Unwanted Music on me ;(
> That is why I am UNINSTALLING and going back to a Previous Version :(

Summary

> Simple and Clean but OVER CONTROLLING !! No way to choose what Music I want on my Itunes !!
> Needs to put "Add Folder to Library" option back in menu so we can CHOOSE what music and files we want included in our Itunes.

"A bloated and outdated piece of software"

September 20, 2014  |  By pixelriffic

 |  Version: Apple iTunes 11.4.0.18

Pros

It's free.

Cons

Bloated, slow and unintuitive. An outdated and awkward interface. No FLAC support.

Summary

While I am a PC user on the desktop, I own both an iPhone and an iPad, and am huge fans of these devices. They have yet to be equaled in my opinion. iTunes shares the same distinction, but in the other direction. It was a good day when it became possible to manage IOS devices without using iTunes. I dislike it so much, I was anxious to avoid it completely.

As for a music manager, there are several free tools to load music and media on the phone from your computer. Several are free, and all are easier to use, and have a superior interface.

Clearly, the same attention to design that went into the iPhone, was not spent on iTunes.

"Quite terrible"

July 22, 2014  |  By Bradbullitt

 |  Version: Apple iTunes 11.3.0.54

Pros

The UI... that's all.

Cons

How can you give 5 stars to this? Please, tone down your Apple maniac's speech, this is ridiculous.
The program is just awfully instable and the tons of updates haven't fixed that.

"Cannot scroll album view alphabetically"

May 21, 2014  |  By gp_toth

 |  Version: Apple iTunes 11.2.0.115

Pros

Have not found anything that would recommend installing this update.

Cons

Previous version allowed you to move through albums by typing letter of first name of artist, e.g., "F" for Frank Sinatra. Current version does not have this feature. With large library, absence of this feature is very inconvenient.

"Hijacked My Ipad and assigned someone else"

May 14, 2014  |  By mswillowglen

 |  Version: Apple iTunes 11.1.5

Pros

Pro? Are you kidding?

Cons

Overnight my iPad that I use for business was given my husband's ID, email and phone number as Default. "Genius Bar" spent and hour and claimed the verified backup email is "a different person" i.e. not me. They, and before Genius Bar, two hours with telephone "support" emailed a password reset. Four emails to reset password and none of them arrived. (Of course I checked bulk) Genius Bar said iTunes could not accept that I am myself, despite standing in front of them with drivers license, credit cards and business cards with the email in question. They advised me to "open a new iTunes ID" so I could use the iPad messaging. I set up a new one and learned that "all email I send from the iPad will have that BOGUS email address INSTEAD OF THE ONE MY BUSINESS HAS USED FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS.

Summary

Apple iTunes has ripped me off for movies, and TV shows in the past. Complaints were useless. I haven't used iTunes for anything but buying apps in the last year. Now iTunes has hijacked my business and my iPad.
