• Was fast at first now slow

  Initially it was fast. Easy to use. Free.

  Cons

  Not so fast now.

  Summary

  when I used this the last few days it downloaded files fairly quickly. Now this morning it said it would take 20 minutes to download a 37 MB file. I tried twice to do it and the same thing, so I switched to Firefox's regular download mgr. It took 5 minutes. I don't know why it worked at first and now it doesn't, but oh well. It was free.

  previously worked perfectly

  stooped working with Mozilla 17.0.1 and when I submitted a report to west byte their server crashed before I got a reply to my post. I have been a paid owner of the pro version for many years. this is my first major let down.

  Summary

  I hope west byte gets this fixed right away, as I never plan to use internet explorer if I can avoid it. my version is 5.13.3.1321

  Pros

  More over fast downloading it helps to organize all downloads and easily find them from history. Default program's settings allow to use it just after installing with quite satisfactory results.

  it faster then pc when downloading large files, it good when files stop downloading picks up were left off

  works better with windows xp, having trouble with windows 7 freezes during down load and must cancel download and restart sometime 2-3 times to get to work. my other system (windows xp) had no trouble with

  Great for downloading large program files,eg, Windows 7 upgrade.

  Cons

  When you try to download a movie or video, it downloads,jpegs,html pages,and just about everything you don't want except the video.

  Summary

  I struggled with this software overall, and eventually uninstalled it and put it into a folder I call the "DEFUNCT PROGRAM FOLDER"
