This no-frills widget application promises an easier way to control your iTunes, but doesn't let you control its preset hot keys. iTunes Shortcut places a familiar iTunes icon on the upper left of your desktop. Click the icon to view the preset hot keys that let you turn the volume up or down and move through the current playlist. Though you can't modify them, the hot keys worked well in our assessment. iTunes Shortcuts only works if you have the Yahoo Widget Engine installed. No Help file is included, but even the novice can quickly grasp this simple app. This specialized widget is hardly a necessity, but may fit the bill for iTunes junkies and it's offered as a freebie.Publisher's description
From Victor saponari :This Widget is a set of hotkeys for iTunes. Hotkeys are available for next song, previous song, play, pause, and volume up/down. When you press a hotkey, a notification window pops up with the track title, artist, and album. It's a great Widget that enables you to have control of iTunes while it is minimized in your system tray. No need for the iTunes Mini player; this Widget has a tiny icon in the top left corner of the screen, and that's it!
