From iInventory :iInventory (previously 'LANauditor') lets you capture and monitor hardware and software inventory without having to leave your desk. Collect the hardware and software configuration of all PCs on your network with one or two clicks. Use iInventory to check software license compliance, to create and maintain accurate hardware inventory, or run pre-rollout OS, hardware, and software analysis. Identify user file abuse (finds MP3, AVI, and any other file extension) and provide system data to an IT help desk. The open database format allows you to work directly with your inventory data in MS Access, MSDE, or SQL Server database formats. Installs on XP or 2000 but can audit on Windows 95 and later, Mac OS 8 and later, and SuSe, Mandrake and Red Hat Linux workstations and servers, networked, and standalone.

Version: iInventory 7.0.1.1
Pros: Neat tool! It let me scan my colleagues PCs very quickly and found a lot more information than I expected.
Cons: Download quite big (44mb).
