Planning a wedding is tough enough without having to set up a budget spreadsheet, a guest database, and your own seating chart from scratch. Save yourself time and aggravation with iDo Wedding Couple Edition, which includes a bevy of tools to manage your special day, all within a convenient and intuitive Web-style interface.
A friendly home page offers easy links to your wedding checklist, budget, invitation list, RSVP status, vendors, gifts, and events. Once you delve into any specific function, the rest are accessible via "Links" in the left-hand navigation. You can easily adapt the program to your needs, such as tweaking the roles in the wedding party and tracking out-of-towner's flight information. You also can print more than 100 reports on every aspect of your wedding.
Your checklist lets you quickly see which items need attention, and your budget file continuously tracks what percentage of your money you've spent and how. You can import wedding invitees from your Outlook contacts or Excel CSV files. The included help documentation is comprehensive, and an extensive video tour on the Elm Software Web site walks you through almost every facet of the program. Pros: Looks like a wonderful, comprehensive program.
Cons: Despite its claim, I cannot install this on Vista Home Premium. :(

"Incredibly helpful program for wedding planning!"
Pros: With only two months to go till my wedding I debated whether or not I truly needed this program. I downloaded the trial, and after using it for 30 minutes I bought the full program! It is incredibly helpful with organizing the guest list (bye-bye Excel spread sheet), setting up the invite list, and doing the table seating. I especially love the report functionality; I was able to run a report of all the missing addresses and phone numbers and hand it to my fiance for him to handle! I can run a vendor report for my wedding planner, and an invite list report (the software automatically does the inner envelope naming for you!) to give to the person addressing my invites.
Support was also great (unusual for software, these days!). I had a couple questions about functionality, and the developer got back to me right away.
This is a very user-friendly software with great functionality for all aspects of wedding planning. Definitely $30 spent well-spent!
Cons: One of the people giving feedback for this product suggested doing the invitations when you were entering the contact information. This was a great suggestion, however it involves switching back and forth between different sections of the program, which is a bit of a pain. Mentioned this to the developer, and he said he would consider a toggle switch for future versions. Also wish it had the ability to track children in the main contact database (no way to designate if someone is a child or not).

Pros: iDo is great for people planning a wedding. I love its interface, import/export capabilities, organizational features, and it's fun to use when planning a wedding. I have recommended it to all of my engaged friends.
Cons: At first we couldn't get iDo to work on our new Vista computer, but tech support was very helpful. They have a Vista compatible version that is not yet available on Download.com--you just have to contact them and ask them for the update.

"This is the BEST Wedding Software every created!"
Pros: I am so grateful for this magnificent piece of software! It helps you manage EVERYTHING related to your wedding.
Try it! It is worth every penny. Tech Support is GREAT!
I like how each individual guest is a contact. In the begining I thought it would be a hassle entering the same information several times, but when you click on "save and new" the address and phone number is still there for the next contact (spouse, children, etc)so it is GREAT!
The information changes instantly all over the software, so you only have to enter it once.
THe invitations are wonderful! Just some advice. Create the invitations as you enter the contacts, it will be easier that way.
I love it that they get a number assigned, so you can keep tract of the RSVps!
You can get reports on who is missing an address, or which invitations have been sent, who has answered, etc.
And oh! THe RSVPs! If you are offering several kinds of meals in your wedding, it is a life saver!
We are having meat, chicken, fish and vegetarian for the adults, and nuggets or pizza as the choice for the kids!
THis is great because it lets you exactly how many of each you'll need, and print the report for your caterer.
THe feature to assign tables is marvelous too! It was so much fun to assign people to their tables! You can design how the tables will be arranged at your reception, so it is like a little blue print that you can hand to the ushers/hostess so they can guide your guests.
You can also enter other events related to your wedding, like showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, post wedding party!
Keep track of your gifts, and of course you can keep track of the thank you notes.
And there are still PLENTY of other features! Go to their website, take the tour, and fall in love with this software.
I really recommend this software to EVERYONE that is planning a wedding. :-)
