Publisher's Description
From Lucid Dawn Software:
iCal...Make It Happen is a project I've been thinking about for a while. After iCal was released, it was discussed among many analysts that iCal, with its scriptibility, could be the next killer app. Allowing you to use iCal to manage your schedule is powerful in and of itself, but also being able to control when your computer does "things, that's where the power lies"
I then downloaded the fantastic app iCal calling iTunes.
After using this, I had the idea, why not take the concept one step further and use iCal to schedule almost any action a user would want.
And this led me to iCal...Make It Happen. This version is very simple. It will check for, and if absent, create a calendar called iCalMIH. Now that this calendar is created iCalMIH will monitor the calendar. When it comes to an event that coincides with the system time, iCalMIH will perform whatever action the user specifies.
I'm very willing to add more actions if you have suggestions or ideas. Please feel free to email me at luciddawn@ikinsella.com.
What's new in this version:
- URL's are now opened with the default browser rather than forcing the use of IE.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the free version from running
- Playing an iTunes playlist
- Opening a URL
- Importing an Outlook-Exported calendar And the most powerful feature
- Opening ANY external app, script or document. This allows anyone to extend the power of iCalMIH with thier own apps.
