CNET Editors' review
This application is only about a year old, but it's loaded with all the necessary tools to be one of the premier FTP clients for the Mac platform. Yummy FTP is a comprehensive and well-rounded choice, with features such as remote editing, remote previewing, AppleScript capability, and a fully customizable interface. In addition to playing host to some advanced functionality, Yummy FTP features basic staples such as bookmarks, SFTP support, customizable views, and multiple simultaneous downloads. The trial period has been increased to 15 days, but we still prefer 30-day trial periods. Still, we heartily recommend this relative newcomer to both pro users and home hobbyists.Publisher's Description
From Yummy Software:
Yummy FTP is an FTP / SFTP client that combines all the best features available in other file transfer solutions, makes them better, adds a wealth of its own uniquely powerful capabilities, and then powers them all with a highly tuned FTP engine.
The result is a very fast, very flexible and completely reliable FTP / SFTP file transfer utility for Mac OS X.
All this comes wrapped up in a gorgeous and highly intuitive user interface, sporting Finder-like FTP browsers, toolbars and drag and drop simplicity throughout.

"It's As Good As It Sounds...Yummy!"
Version: Yummy FTP 1.1.5
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I first tried yummy on a humbug, when my other program was really freaking out. The other FTP wouldnt let me upload to my web server. Now 2 months have passed and I have never looked back. Yummy is by far the best, and most reliable that I've used.
It appears to handle time outs well (very few of them), and if it does occur, Yummie will wait and them resume the transfer with no problem. Yummie also lets you browse the directory and initiate other operations will a file transfer is in progress (great time saver with that feature-just set everything up and leave). Works fluidly with my external html editor. I like how you can create blank files on the server and then click on them to edit them in my external server (another great time saver). All basic functionality is quick and easy to access (chomd, delete, rename, copy, move, etc...). It is well established as an essential tool in my arsenal. In fact it is indespensable!
The only thing that I could wish for is a little icon inside the viewer to move up one director level. This would be used to drop items outside of the folder when I have the view set to "single page mode"
P.S. Support....I dont know how well the support is because I havent needed any. The program is rock solid!

"Robust will not stop transfers because of time outs"
Version: Yummy FTP 1.1.5
Pros
I used to use Captain FTP. But all of a sudden it would freeze because my connection would time out. I sent several request for support, no response. Site down for 2 weeks.. Tried yummy FTP, and it worked the first time! Great Program, Great Look, The feature list is thourough. You can even choose your own editor. I havnt tried online editing yet, but the most important feature works well, it uploads files. I also like the way it builds all of the folders first, and the que shows the progress of your uploads as a whole or as individual folders and files.
Cons
I didnt find this program sooner
