Free system care and cleaning utilities aren't uncommon these days, so there are plenty of choices. WiseCleaner's Wise Care 365 Free offers a PC Checkup, System Tune-up, Privacy Protector, and Wise Utilities. You can schedule cleaning and optimizing sessions and back up and restore your settings. Wise Care 365 Free's job is to prevent unpleasant surprises by keeping your system clean and tight. Recent updates include improvements to the Startup Manager and full Windows 8 compatibility.
Wise Care 365's four-step tutorial starts with picking a background theme and language and then walks new users through a quick overview of the PC Checkup feature, the program's Privacy Protection capabilities, and the General Settings. The user interface opened with a balloon offering a new seasonal theme.
System cleaners and optimizers almost always start with a scan, and Wise Care 365's PC Checkup did, too. The scan identified junk files we could delete and also warned of privacy risks that we'd have to upgrade to the pro version to fix. The System Cleaner feature includes a Registry Cleaner, System Cleaner, and other tools. The registry scan finished quickly, and identified and cleaned up a variety of loose ends. The Common Cleaner scours Windows for files you can delete, while the Advanced Cleaner lets you target areas to clean. Scans were quick but thorough, with good results. The System Slimmer identifies things you can safely delete to regain more disk space, such as the sample multimedia files in Windows. Under Settings, we could schedule cleaning times, add files to the Exclusion List, specify automatic backups (recommended!) and even create a portable version of Wise Care 365 to carry on a thumbdrive. The online Help file seems to cover just about everything, including plenty of screenshots illustrating the various features.
New PCs often ship full of useless stuff, so running Wise Care 365 can reduce startup time and improve even a new PC's performance. Older PCs will benefit from a proper cleaning and tune-up. All PCs need regular cleaning and maintenance, and Wise Care 365 can provide it.

Most of the program is decent, I even upgraded to paid version. That's when I got Burned!!

The system optimization part of this software definitely needs work, and further and more updated testing and review, both on cnets part as well as the software provider !!!

I had used this software for sometime,, enough too upgrade to paid version. When I upgraded I decided to put it thru It's paces. For the first time I ever I used the system optimization part of this program in full. I decided to fully optimize my c drive!! Had all updates and restores in place,, all set to go, right? By the time this all was done, (39 minutes) it had managed to totally erase every system restore in the system, even it's own. it managed too corrupt and crash all installed security,, AVG, Malwarebytes, Hitman Pro, superantispyware free version, n so forth. It also completely corrupted the c drive to the point where absolutely nothing responded and worked!! Had to completely redo entire c drive, n believe me when I tell ya,, complete Ball Buster!! I Do Believe that either this problem was a direct oversight on cnets part or the program designers part or possibly both. I think this software should be completely Re-examined and re-evaluated by both cnet and the designer, so the hard working people of this fine country can be better informed before they make financial decisions on regarding there expenditures. Times being hard as they are,, I believe we have a right to the truth about software we are assured we can rely on!! FURTHER TESTING NEEDED!!! I'm a Disabled Vet n my money is awful hard to come by!! It doesn't give you details of the issues it found, and eventhough you've clicked CLEAN, it's still there when you click SCAN AGAIN.
It doesn't give you the choice to skip : "The windows Firewall of public/private network is disabled". I want to keep it disabled but I couldn't find the setting of it everywhere.
I better go with Advanced System Care and other programs. -

looks smart. Very User Friendly. Tells you exactly what is going on and suggests how to rectify it, add to that a precise Monitor and it finds more errors than Crap Cleaner (it is that good) AND upgrading to Pro gives you even more!

Cleans and does what it claims! Very easy to use! Even if not computer savvy, this is a straightforward, easy to use product; so try it! I have Windows 8 Pro (Dell Dimension E520) and it works great on my computer!

"This One's A Mixed-Bag"

Attractive GUI that's very easy to navigate; some features work quite well : I particularly like the System Slimmer and I've used their Registry Cleaner Program in the past and it's pretty decent: more aggressive than the Auslogics, but not as much as the one in Glary Utilities. Some of the system tools are useful, like the Password Generator, but there are better Startup Managers out there. (also I don't know where they get their program ratings, but it left most of my programs unrated.) As for cleaning efficacy, I used the System Slimmer to remove some Windows Installer files I had left in my system for just such a test, and it successfully removed the obsolete files while leaving the active files Windows had locked or password protected.

I take issue with any cleaner that does not show you what it's about to remove; a vague description like "junk files" doesn't get it - I want to know what those files are before deleting them (same with registry items.) Wise Care is generally good in this area except for the PC Checkup, which is their version of a "1 click cleaner" found in other programs. I give them low marks for not providing detailed info with this tool, which is usually the one people use most often.

There's a lot to like about Wise Care 365, not the least of which being the company behind it - they seem like a pretty straight-up outfit (notice that they don't try to get you to download a partner's toolbar or any other crap during installation) and I like the ways they try to inject a little fun into what is usually a routine application. I've used the previous version on another computer and found it to be not only easy to use, but quite safe, making it very novice friendly. Also it has some useful tools, which is why it's still in my system. But as cleaners go, I've found that different companies take different approaches and, to their credit, Wise takes a very safe approach, making for a not always effective cleaner. Personally, I cross clean with both CCleaner and Slim Cleaner, and I'm always amazed that one catches stuff the other one misses. Still, if you're only going to use one Utility program, Wise Care is a good choice : safer is always better.
