A simple medieval quest game, Winged Warrior lacks both innovation and polish. The primitive, monotonous graphics seem like they came straight out of the 1980s, as does the arcade-style MIDI music. In terms of gameplay, you won't find anything you haven't seen in other role-playing games. To complete your quest and save the kingdom, you need to get tips and advice from various characters.
Along the way, you must kill monsters and earn magic powers by finding potions. Like almost everything else about this game, the fight scenes are subpar and lacking in dynamics. If you want to take a nostalgic trip back to the early days of quest games, you might enjoy Winged Warrior, but demanding gamers probably won't find much to like.
