WindowFX is a utility that allows you to take advantage of many of the new visual APIs in Windows 2000 as well as leveraging features long unused in Windows 98.

WindowFX on Windows 2000 can make windows and menus semitransparent. On all OSs it allows the user to configure what resolution a maximized window grows to, which is essential for users running at high resolution. It also provides numerous animation and visual effects for the user, such as transparent icon text and a lot more.

The new version adds window shadows, shadows for pop-up menus, and additional transparency features.
