This small executable goes to work quickly in finding and providing detailed information about domains, but don't expect to be wowed by its design. WhoisThisDomain's double-window interface is utilitarian at best. Simply input domain names in one window, and watch as the results are swiftly displayed in its main window. You'll be privy to domain information including registrant, Web hosting source, administrative and technical contact, DNS servers, and domain status. The freeware produces simple HTML reports of source and domain status, or you can save lookup results in a text file. Despite its no-frills look, WhoisThisDomain works well and supplies comprehensive information for anyone to to dig deeper into the who, what and where behind Web sites.Publisher's description
From NirSoft Freeware :WhoisThisDomain allows you to easily get information about a registered domain. It automatically connects to the right WHOIS server, according to the top-level domain name, and retrieves the WHOIS record of the domain. It supports both generic domains and country code domains. Version 1.23 added the configuration is now saved to a file, instead of the Registry.

Pros: It does what it says it will do.
Cons: software can save just some of the data it finds to a file. too bad it cannot save all the info
