WhoisThisDomain allows you to easily get information about a registered domain. It automatically connects to the right WHOIS server, according to the top-level domain name, and retrieves the WHOIS record of the domain. It supports both generic domains and country code domains.
What's new in this version: Version 1.75 adds domains file command-line option, which allows you to easily load the domains list from a simple text file.

software can save just some of the data it finds to a file. too bad it cannot save all the info

if you like a web site and would like to know who does what with it, you can use this to find out.
Cons
best to save and not open, nothing more than a file, no uninstaller so just have to find and delete.
