Video chat has become the preferred way to connect in any long-distance relationship, romantic or otherwise. Weixin is looking to find users in a crowded room full of FaceTime, Skype, and other popular apps. With fast performance and enough cool features, it makes a convincing case for itself.
Setting up an account takes only a few seconds and is even quicker if you sign up with your Facebook account. Adding your friends is just as easy, as you can search your existing accounts to add to your friends list and contacts. You can even find contacts through scanning QR codes or shaking your phone against another person's with the app open. No matter how you get your friends' contact information, the video quality on Weixin is just as good as any other service. You can even share videos, pictures, and other media without hitting any text fees.
With 200 million users already and the service enabling Facebook Connect, Weixin could become a premiere video chat app for sure. It matches the big names in video chat when it comes to features, support, and style. It just needs all of your friends for it to work better than Skype for you.

Cons
- seemed very practical at first, but then turned out to be a spy tool; used the expression "free speech" - connection reset, tried more: "Democracy" - connection reset, "Tibet" - connection reset... This Thing is controlling what you write and censors it!
- deinstalled but it's still running! This thing hijacked my tablet, had to format and reinstall everything!

As I have many friends in China I wanted to try out Weixin to stay in touch (as the Communist terror government has cut them off Facebook and the like). When I saw that it's Tencent, suspicion grew but unfortunately I was stupid enough to still try it...
It seems to work perfectly... You have a great tool to contact many friends in many way... Until you figure out, that the communists are deciding for you what you are allowed to talk about... I mentioned "free speech" in a Chat between me (in Switzerland) and a friend (in Germany) - the server reset the connection!!! We tried many more expressions after that ("Democracy", "freedom", "Tibet", and more) always the same: I was cut from the server, so was my friend!
Deinstalled it immediatly when I figured this out. Later checked the Task Manager for something else, guess what I found... WEIXIN WAS STILL RUNNING THERE - weeks after I had deinstalled it!
This is an extremely dangerous spytool, DO NOT USE!!!
