Publisher's description
From WeatherBug :Millions of people rely on the WeatherBug application for accurate U.S. weather, forecasts, radar, severe weather alerts, and traffic. The program is light and spyware free and reports weather from a private U.S. network of 8,000 weather stations that stream weather information directly to users. While most weather sources provide weather that is often hours old and from stations located at local airports, WeatherBug streams up-to-the-moment weather data from stations that are usually a short distance from most users locations.

Version: WeatherBug 6.05
"Probably one of the worst weather programs available."
Pros: Its free.
It does the job in getting the weather.
Cons: Treated as spyware...or at least I treat it as such.
AOL Instant Messenger installs it by default.
It turns on sound effects by default...sounds which are darn annoying.
The interface is HORRIBLE and advertisement ridden.
I suggest people use Weather1 or Weather Pulse instead of this junk.

Version: WeatherBug 6.05
"Weatherbug is accurate, reliable weather."
Pros: This program actually uses information from over 8000 stations, not just one, like Desktop Weather does. It provides alerts for 23 different weather events, like snow, sleet, fog, hail, and other potential weather hazzards. It will even email them to you. You can get it for your mobile phone. Ther are many features packed into it, like driving conditions, pollen counts, live cameras, radars, maps, and a whole host of other features. It has great information that is updated frequently.
Cons: The severe weather alert when the program is open is a chirping sound, and a tray icon that flashes. The chirping is quite ignorable, so you may miss it. Still, you will find that this is the most feature packed weather tool for your desktop. I highly recommend it.

"A good program for monitoring severe weather"
Pros: It was easily installable, and is prety reliable. It alerts to severe weather faster than my weather alert radio does! It's a reliable and quick weather monitoring system.
Cons: It is ad-based, and you have to "pick a sponsor" about once a week, and if you pick one with "flashy" ads, it can slow down the response to mouse clicks within weatherbug. (I recommend Encarta) It only allows you to receive weather alerts for one area, which sometimes can delay you receiving weather alerts in your area.

Version: WeatherBug 6.05
"It is a great tool for weather watchers"
Pros: I really like it. It gives a large choice of local and global weather tools, from forcasts, temperature changes, watches, warnings, and radar.
Cons: It uses a large amount of system resourses, but I don't mind; I have enough to spare.
