So what will it be today, a T-shirt or an overcoat? With WeatherBug, you'll always know. This handy little program runs quietly in the system tray, displaying the current temperature and flashing when alerts come in from the National Weather Service. Double-clicking the tray icon calls up an easy-to-read display of temperature, wind, and humidity. Other tabs provide forecasts, weather maps, and news. On the downside, it only covers the United States. It also displays ads, though they usually appear within the application window. We can't guarantee you won't get the odd pop-up when the app is in focus, but the publisher claims you won't see any ads with the program minimized. Aside from those drawbacks, WeatherBug is a great way to keep from getting caught out in the rain.Publisher's Description

Pros
weatherbug is able to track weather in my area very reliably which is great and I wasn't sure I could find my town since I live out in the country and not a major city.
Cons
The only negative I have about WB is that when I went to uninstall it to install an updated version it was near impossible (I still don't think I got it all). I had to Google the process for that and it was a registry hack. Way to big of a hassle just to install an update.
Summary
Very reliable program but so much trouble just to install an update.

Pros
Great app to diaplay current temps, radar & forcasts. Love the icon in taskbar with current temps.
Cons
Do not like the addition of a "toolbar". Refused to upgrade now that there is no option to install without it.
Summary
Sorry to see this app go this way. Will look for another app that will give me what I need on the weather without installing additional "trash"

Summary
Now, VB Scripting is required, and I don't even know what that is or why my computer doesn't have it enabled. I used to have the Weatherbug app on this computer, with no requirement for VB Scripting. I uninstalled Weatherbug because of this "new" requirement. No other weather apps require it; why does Weatherbug? I have the Weather Channel's app and YoWindow's app, and these do not require enabling VB Scripting.
