So what will it be today, a T-shirt or an overcoat? With WeatherBug, you'll always know. This handy little program runs quietly in the system tray, displaying the current temperature and flashing when alerts come in from the National Weather Service. Double-clicking the tray icon calls up an easy-to-read display of temperature, wind, and humidity. Other tabs provide forecasts, weather maps, and news. On the downside, it only covers the United States. It also displays ads, though they usually appear within the application window. We can't guarantee you won't get the odd pop-up when the app is in focus, but the publisher claims you won't see any ads with the program minimized. Aside from those drawbacks, WeatherBug is a great way to keep from getting caught out in the rain.Publisher's description

"Maybe C-net goofed on this one"
Cons: They gave it a high rating, but I'm wondering if they ran a spy scan after the installation. All my spyware scanners detected WeatherBug 6.07 as malware and spyware! Download at your own risk.

Version: WeatherBug 6.07
Pros: Tells you the weather in your area.
Cons: WeatherBug is adware, unless you buy the Pro version. It admits this in its EULA. WeatherBug also uses alot of bandwidth. Only install this software if you don't mind adware, spam, and hijacking toolbars (MySearch and MyWay).

"Potentially Unwanted Program"
Cons: I have no idea why cnet gave this program 4 star when it's a spyware. After you install this program you will notice that your computer speed has become slow and also when you browse the internet you will see tons of popup ads.Use Adware, superantispyware and windows defender to remove this threat.

Version: WeatherBug 6.07
Pros: Weather forecasts - THAT'S IT!
Cons: PROMOTER OF "MWS"
BETANEWS MARKED THIS AS ADWARE
SITEADVISOR MARKED THIS DOWNLOAD AS YELLOW.
I think this program must be removed from the database immediately.
IF I were you, I'd probably just check the weather on the website only. That's what I do sometimes. Other than that, DON'T DOWNLOAD!
