This updated weather application offers a smorgasbord of weather-related data. Once you've provided a zip code or city, Weather Watcher's easy-to-use interface displays detailed weather information, including forecasts, temperature, and expected highs and lows. You can add as many locations as you'd like and switch among them using the system-tray icon.
Automatic updates keep you abreast of the current wind speed, dew point, humidity, barometric pressure, and moon phases. You can display your location's current weather conditions by mousing over the temperature readout in your system tray. Weather Watcher provides extensive customizations, measurement conversions, and numerous maps from all over the globe, and a log for quick reference. You can view weather data with hourly and daily forecasts, and create a keyword list to filter severe weather alerts.
The application also features a wallpaper changer for your desktop using several file formats, including JPEG, GIF, BMP, and HTML. Our only serious complaint is its hefty 19MB memory usage. Overall, though, this informative, customizable program can benefit a wide range of users, and it's free to boot. This is a top pick.

Pros: very nice, easy on the system resources, easy to use,lots of great features, nice skins to go along with it. no advertisements like some apps. also i don't know what the thing is with the spyware, but i found none, so no problems there.
Cons: none that i have seen

"Everything You Want In A Weather Program"
Pros: I have used the Weather Channel and Weather Bug programs extensively in the past but they don't compare to Weather Watcher...It's simply the best weather software on the market! Five Points to Support This:
1. NO SPYWARE. Weather Watcher does not peddle off hidden programs within its software. Based on his user review responses, Mr. Singer has always had and always will have a "Spyware Free" policy.
2. NO ADVERTISEMENTS. Your screen is free of logo feces with this software.
3. MINIMAL SYSTEM RESOURCES REQUIRED. It runs silently (or actively, with alerts) in the backround without consuming much memory.
4. MULTIPLE SKINS, WALLPAPER & FEATURES. Weather Watcher has great skins and the cool option of active weather wallpaper. Since I have been using it, this option and other great additional features have been added with new version updates.
5. IT'S FREE! Other programs require a fee to upgrade to "premium" options, however Weather Watcher has many features which qualify as such.
****Singer's Creations works on a donation basis only. When I first started using Weather Watcher, I donated $15 to Singer's Creations because I liked this program so much. Thanks Mr. Singer! Keep up the great work.
Cons: There are absolutely no cons to this software as far as I'm concerned. I am a loyal user that is very satisfied with this product.

Version: Weather Watcher 5.6.1
Pros: I like Weather Watcher because it's 100% spyware & adware free. Some out-of-date and/or faulty spyware scanners have returned false-positives, but that's just the nature of the beast. No spyware/virus scanners are 100% accurate, so be careful when you decide to put all of your trust into them.
I like the fact that Weather Watcher is being offered as freeware. There is an option to donate if you so desire. I've been using Weather Watcher now for over 3 years, so I decided to give something back by making a donation to the author.

Pros: The interface is nicely re-designed and accessable.
Cons: Just be careful of the goldeneye. It makes one wonder why the previous versions were all adware and spyware free, and a company has to now resort to this. Run a scan and you'll find out for yourself that Singer's Creations is not what it used to be. I know I wouldn't allow goldeneye on my computer. Think about it.
