This updated weather application offers a smorgasbord of weather-related data. Once you've provided a zip code or city, Weather Watcher Live's easy-to-use interface displays detailed weather information, including forecasts, temperature, and expected highs and lows. You can add as many locations as you'd like and switch among them using the system-tray icon.
Automatic updates keep you abreast of the current wind speed, dew point, humidity, barometric pressure, and moon phases. You can display your location's current weather conditions by mousing over the temperature readout in your system tray. Weather Watcher Live provides extensive customizations, measurement conversions, and numerous maps from all over the globe, and a log for quick reference. You can view weather data with hourly and daily forecasts, and create a keyword list to filter severe weather alerts.
The application also features a wallpaper changer for your desktop using several file formats, including JPEG, GIF, BMP, and HTML. Our only serious complaint is its hefty 19MB memory usage. Overall, though, this informative, customizable program can benefit a wide range of users, and it's free to boot. This is a top pick.

Weather Watcher will allow you to automatically retrieve your weather data at a set interval, display the current temperature in a customized tray icon, display the current condition image in a tray icon, designate which weather information is displayed in the Weather Watcher system tray tooltip, convert the weather data using almost any conversion, display a weather map as your desktop wallpaper, log the weather data in any format, export the weather data in any format, customize the look of the Weather Watcher interface and icons via skins.
What's new in this version:
Version 6.1.12 adds day names to daily slider in "NOW" section of main Weather Watcher Live window for international weather stations; "Tray Icon" dropdown to the "Skins" section of the Weather Watcher Live Options window to allow the icons to be changed in the tooltip window.

Pros: Previous version was informative
Cons: Wants to install additional software along with it.
Summary: I did not install this prograg becasue it wanted to install some toolbar along with it, and you had no choice to opt out.

Pros: ...but after a long time using this application, I kept it and paid my $10.
Well worth it for the features.Cons: OK. So Singer needed a few bucks to keep it going. Ah well!
Summary: Beats the heck out of weather.com or weather bug.
There are still some geographic limitations, but my location is fine.
You can't even uninstall weather.com:(

Pros: gREAT FIRST GLANCE GOOD IDEA but that was it. interface and all were just fine
Cons: Only one real con but it was enough to lose me. it would not keep my location, drop iit, flash me an annoying pou up until i did something then not be able to re locate the place for bit then start the interfering process all over i got rid of it
Summary: great little thing but a bug too many for me. others may love it. it was a real pain for me
