This easy-to-use application accesses the Internet to provide up-to-date weather information for any U.S. zip code. Weather Tracer adds an icon to your system tray that displays the current temperature. When you hover over the icon, a dialog box appears providing additional information such as humidity, pressure, and wind speed. Click on the icon to get detailed five-day weather forecasts from Weather.com. Setup is easy. Just right-click to access Preferences and insert the zip code you want to monitor. You also can define the length of intervals for updating, choose the unit of measurement for your display, and make minor changes to the appearance of the interface. This is a very handy freeware tool that anyone can use to get current weather conditions from the desktop.Publisher's description

Version: Weather Tracer 1.0
Pros: Like to keep an eye on the weather? This little tool sits neatly in your system tray and informs you of current weather temps in your local area!!
Double click on the icon and you get a 5 day forcast for your area. Very small file size and would be great for the on-the-go business person with a laptop to keep currrent of the changing weather conditions. Or if your like me at home it is good to know before you go to work what to take with you that day, sunscreen or an umbrella.

"Exellent Program Rated Poorly by another user"
Pros: This program does work in the united states so what if it does not work outside the US.
Cons: None that I can see so far! Works, Stable, and Spyware Free! Woo Hoo! Weatherbug sucks compared to this!

"Excellent idea, poor execution"
Pros: The idea of having the temperature in the tray is great, I've always wanted it.
Cons: It has too many bugs.
One: it often pings its server every second ignoring the default 30 min I've set it to. After exit and restart, it is back to normal but it's very unpredictable when it can go "off". When it does, the computer keeps eating CPU and bandwidth, and doesnt go into power save modes. This is an extremely serious bug due to which I uninstalled Weather Tracer.
Two: it often crashes if you try to bring it up from the tray.

Summary: Does not work outside US. Shame - it seemed like a good idea.
