WeFi distances itself from the pack of Internet hot-spot finders by adding a social element to its Wi-Fi-seeking. In addition to detecting and automatically connecting to hot spots, WeFi offers an interactive community for building up a collective Wi-Fi databse, finding friends while out and about, and discovering new contacts. Privacy is always an option, and easy to configure in the settings on WeFi.com. On the hot-spot tab, we like WeFi's clean look, summary of the spots in range, and description of the hot spot's security settings. Kudos also goes to WeFi's verification of hot spots after a laptop is connected. The People tab similarly organizes friends and adds chatting.
More nitty-gritty results filtration would be welcomed on the app interface for users interested in sniffing out a particular class of hot spot.

Version: WeFi 2.5
Pros: After downloading and installing 'Wefi', my wireless card would not work. I tried to uninstall 'Wefi' and instead of uninstalling; 'Wefi' installed itself again!
I used Windows Explorer's search feature, and found 'Wefi' files embedded within Window's folders, and that was after i finally had uninstalled 'Wefi'. When trying to get rid of 'Wefi' from my PC, 'Wefi' locked my CPU up at 100%. I believe this software is bahaving like a virus.
Spread the facts about 'Wefi', please.
Cons: Everything!

Version: WeFi 2.5
"I agree it is a scam - this will not uninstall BEWARE these people!"
Pros: I liked the original idea but quickly changed my mind when I asked WeFi to delete a wireless point that I had added and they refused - whose data is this. I then decided to uninstall the software and Windows XP has repeated failures trying to uninstall, even after I reinstalled WeFi to see if it would fix any corruption.
Cons: WeFi do not have a wireless point delete, and they refuse to delete if requested, even for those you enter yourself, and the installation will not uninstall on 2 Windows XP machines of mine, keeps reporting errors to Microsoft - these people are definitely of low ethics and questionable motives - BEWARE!

Version: WeFi 2.5
"Quite an improvement over Windows XP interface"
Pros: In 6 out of 7 locations i tried using it, it connected me much faster than what i'm used to. Plus it found an alternative, when my connection dropped.
Cons: The user list is still half-baked - can't add friends, or IM people on the list.
