CNET Editors' review
Most people let the wallpaper on their computer desktop sit forever, without ever even thinking of a change. Others go through different images daily, and still get bored. Wallperizer is aimed at the second crowd, automatically changing desktop wallpaper on a regular basis.
The software can take the background images from any folder on a hard disk, and provides a monthly calendar as a bonus. The interface is somewhat amateurish, but offers options to change the way the calendar and pictures are displayed.
This feature set may trail that of some other similar programs, but Wallperizer does have the significant advantage of being free. For people who can't stand looking at the same background image day after day, this download may be worth a try.
Publisher's Description
From George Hara:
Wallperizer is automatically changing your desktop wallpaper. You can add up to 100 directories where the program would look for pictures which would be used as wallpapers. The wallpaper can be changed automatically, either in order or randomly. Brightness normalization is an automatic process where bright pictures are made darker and dark pictures are made brighter, which can be used to bring the brightness of wallpapers close to the environmental light. A calendar can be displayed on the wallpaper. Calendars have skins. You can edit, load, and save calendar skins.

"simple to use"
Version: Wallperizer 1.2.1
Pros
I love how easy it is to set up!
Cons
I didn't like the calendar function, I'd prefer not to have a big border around the calendar, something more simple like just white numbers and month heading and the option to show more than one month like webshots would be great.
Summary
It's perfect for just changing your wallpaper. Simple, easy to use and understand.

"Getting There"
Version: Wallperizer 1.2.1
Pros
Nice interface and setup. Lots of good settings for photos and calendar.
Cons
Cannot scroll through months on wallpaper. No different than hanging a static paper calendar on my wall.

"simple and clean"
Version: Wallperizer 1.2.1
Pros
This is pretty good; its a simple, tiny program, an easy user interface (which some would normally discredit, but its actually not bad), no fuss, no mess. It does exactly what I want it to, which is change my desktop wallpaper depending on the frequency I choose (anywhere from every few minutes to every few days) and it does nothing else. The added simple calendar feature really feels like a neat little addition, because I like the program itself so much. What's wrong with simplicity? (Another bonus, is that the program doesn't interfere with any other active programs (like a browser or media player, for example), so that was a plus.
Cons
A tiny thing that really isn't a big deal, but I found out that you actually have to have the program "on" for it to change your wallpaper. Meaning, it has to be shown as an active icon in your system tray. I found that out when I chose "change every 5 minutes", closed the interface by clicking "close", and the wallpaper didn't change at all. So, instead of clicking "close", just click on the X of that window; that way the window closes but the program doesn't.

"Good"
Version: Wallperizer 1.2.1
Cons
The calendar is unresizable, and it would be nice if ther is a place for writing notes

"Great Software"
Version: Wallperizer 1.1.7
Pros
it works great I love it

"My new wallpaper changer"
Version: Wallperizer 1.1.5
Pros
The option to add the current month to the desktop makes it stand out compared to other programs of this kind.
Cons
The interface is quite complex and technical so you have to experiment a bit to understand everything. I miss the option to set the text color of 'today' (or else I overlooked it)

"Great Idea, needs work"
Version: Wallperizer 1.1.3
Pros
I love the concept, both of rotating wallpapers and the calendar on the wallpaper. Very nice and convenient. Calendar looks nice and classy.
Cons
Firstly, don't like the fact that there's no minimize (that I could find) function to make the program go back to the system tray. I had to close it and then run it again (the program starts in the system tray). Better to just have an option to go back to the system tray from the settings window. Even though the Calendar looks great, I want to be able to easily switch to other months and years and so forth other than the current one, like I can on my cell phone. Otherwise, it's just a date display which I already have in my Windows taskbar. Also, if you could put appointments on it, like a cellphone calendar, that'd be awesome.
