Version: WS_FTP Home 2006
Pros: All the bells and whistles, but comes at a steep price. Been using WS_FTP Pro for many years now, but freeware alternatives like FileZilla virtually elminate the need for this product.
Cons: Steep price, and is not consistently reliable.

Version: WS_FTP Home 2006
"Stick with the old LE verision"
Cons: Tell me again why I should pay $34.95 for this? It does NOT work better than the original LE (freeware) version. I mean, jeeze, come on, it's only an FTP client. Sheesh.

Version: WS_FTP Home 2006
"Fancy but not as good as it looks"
Pros: Its gui was excellent - it was easy to use and offered many possibilities of "sorting and views of files"
Cons: One extremely annoying feature is: When you restart the program it by default logs into the last server you were connected to.
Another thing was, this program may be very beautiful to look at, but it dosent get the work done always - it can be slow and tiresome to use at times

Version: WS_FTP Home 2006
"The product was easy to use and did a god job!"
Cons: I had problems, first with the systemdisk, then virus. Therefore I had to install all programs more than two times during a few days (WS_FTP Home 2006 from Ipswitch was only in use for 10 days). I was told by Ipswitch that I had to buy a new licence. There were no problem to get new license by Microsoft or Symantec (Norton) I now use TurboFTP instead. Even as Good!

Version: WS_FTP Home 2006
"Finally, the upgrade we've all been waiting for"
Pros: By far the best improvement is Linked Folders Mode: you can browse your local folders and it will go to the same folders on your FTP server, or vise versa, as long as the folders exist. Drag and drop from Windows Explorer is nice.
Cons: Limitation of Linked Folder Mode: you can only change one directory up or down at a time (i.e. you can't use the Folders window to change directories or it drops out of Linked Folders Mode). Also, it still can't see hidden files on UNIX server side (like .htaccess), and I can't find an option to enable this. Nonetheless, still a great upgrade, and this just brought me back from SmartFTP.
