This is app is extremely simple, but performs an essential and possibly complicated task for Windows Vista customizers. It patches several DLLs that control Vista's appearance so that users can alter Vista to their liking. It's also freeware, making it a viable workaround for those who want to tweak Vista but don't want to pay for it. It also changes Aero so that it stays in effect on maximized screens.
There's not much else to the program. It absolutely will not work with Vista Service Pack 1 Release Candidates. If you install Vista Glazz before removing the SP1 RC, simply uninstall the app and then SP1, and then reinstall the program. The interface is basic, there are no skins provided, and the EULA gives off the vague stench of unfounded fear.
Nevertheless, if you're looking for a simple solution to a potential nightmare, Vista Glazz may be the first step you'll need to take to pretty up Vista just the way you want.

"Pretty good little program while it worked."
Pros: I could definitely tell the difference after I used it.. Bars almost invisible..
Cons: Then I received an update (windows vista service pack 2..[KB948465).. no longer compatible.. Went to web site.. Does not operate with service pack 2 (NOW THEY TELL ME!).. Will have to wait for their update.
Summary: Do not allow windows to update your vista to service pack 2 if you like this program.. Sit it to a side, hide it until glazz announces their next update. If instead you see service pack2 more important, it would be best to uninstall glazz1.1 now.

Pros: Works without anoying bubbles in the task bar, and its invisible. Takes no CPU, it doesn't even run, it just deletes/changes the thing that makes vista go opaque

Pros: It did successfully patch but i ruined the patch by accidentally using the wrong dll files. so i couldnt experience it full time

"Great for using NON-MICROSOFT Vista Aero Styles"
Pros: Easy to install, stable, quick system patching, easy to un-patch system, and lets you use any of the hundreds of Aero Styles out on the web.
Cons: None at all.

Pros: I have always been annoyed by loosing the Aero effect in Vista when I maximize a given program. This little program solves that problem 100 percent, all you have to do is download, install then run both patches and thats all.

Does not come with a free t-shirt?Summary: This is the program for those of us who do not like loosing the Vista Aero when we have to maxiumize programs. Simple and easy to use!
