Version: Vista Battery Saver beta 2
"Helps with battery life, when it behaves"
Pros: It really does help with battery life, and it doesn't take up much hard drive space or memory. The little icon in the tray is unobtrusive, and the interface is intuitive and easy to use.
Cons: I plug in and unplug my laptop a lot, and it starts getting a little screwy after I do that too often. Some of the odd behaviors (which only happen on occasion):
- Instead of hiding the sidebar, it eliminates that portion of the screen, and the rest of the screen stretches to fill in
- It fails to re-activate Aero or the sidebar (or both) upon being plugged in
- The sidebar disappears for a while, then reappears upon being unplugged or plugged in
Again, these are occasional occurrences, but it happens enough to be annoying. I simply made a shortcut and only run the program when I'm on battery. The power savings are worth the effort. Hopefully they'll work out the bugs soon (it is beta, after all).

Version: Vista Battery Saver beta 2
"It doesn't work with Vista Home Premium."
Pros: It was a novel software to have, and it really does what it says it would. Plus the icon is cute.
Cons: I downloaded and ran this software when I had my laptop plugged without the battery. When I was running the computer solely on battery, it gave a prompt, saying that it does not work with Home Premium and that it would temporarily change to Home Basic until I terminated it. When I exited the program, my Vista reverted back to Home Premium.

"Doesn't work with Vista Home Basic"
Pros: Sounded like a great program based on CNet and user reviews...
Cons: Is incompatible with Microsoft Vista Home Basic.
-
Version: Vista Battery Saver beta 2
"My Vista notebook earned twice as much time with the same battery."
Pros: Now I can use the Vista notebook for at least 2 hours without been worried about pluging any energy cable.
