So protective that you will have to allow/approve when other people try to connect to your internet due to the firewall. You only need to do this at first.
Summary
Vipre Internet Security has protected me from numerous viruses, malware, and suspicious sites. The only bit of information I would like its users to know is if you purchase a lifetime membership, its only lifetime for as long as your computer is healthy. For example, if your hard drive is corrupted or wiped, you cannot get the lifetime license back and would need to purchase another.

I cant get the correct drivers for Vipre Internet Security 2012 to work with my new laptop installed with Windows 8. I tried changing the compatibility and still get errors.

"It maybe a great program but..."

Download had no problems and warned me to uninstall my previes AV

But then is happened! My PC acted as if it had eaten something wrong and refused to work, wouldn't even tell me what was wrong. Just lay there for dead. Couldn't even uninstall Vipre, no system restore, nothing. After hours of trying the various solutions it slowly started to recover and I could finally have him spit out the Vipre that caused him to be so sick.
Summary
Still don't know what caused it all, and won't be able to tell if Vipre is a good AV or not. Wish I knew what happened there. Or else I will have to ask for my money back.

Simple design for newbies, but with advanced features for power users.
I like the Easy Update feature to look for out of date software on my machine and automatically download and update. Found Java and Adobe updates!Cons
No free version other than the 30-day trial.

Pros
Surprised it found a lot more files infected then all of the other new anti virus programs that were released this month. Has the highest detection rate out of all the newest popular anti virus programs The interface and settings are very simple to locate and change and are very easy to understand good protection for people that don't know how to configure programs very well.
Cons
None it doesn't even use very high Cpu Usuage Was surprised at that as the last one did.
Summary
Over all I would have to say you can count on this software to protect you against the last treats for the new Operating systems being released A+++ for compatible with windows 8 and I mean completely compatible good job viper.
