The free Viigo app for Windows Mobile and BlackBerry has much to offer in the way of fast, flawless content delivery to mobile phones. To users' eternal benefit, it doesn't limit itself as a feed reader, instead casting a wide net to grab content from blogs, Web sites, and RSS feeds. Viigo loads with a long list of presets, but if you don't want them all, you'll need to take a moment to remove some channels. To add a channel, simply browse through category types or define your own channel using a solicitous guided list to set search alerts or add RSS URLs.
Viigo offers more than one way to view items, though what your carrier might charge you for isn't always clear. At the time of review, preference tweaking was limited, though it's possible to disable photo downloading on the BlackBerry build.

"Best RSS Reader for your Blackberry."
Pros: Viigo is the best RSS reader that I've ever come across - the installation is easy, the default feeds even include the CNET Gadget Blog: Crave, adding feeds can be done by using a URL and they'll find the feeds for you, or just insert the link and it'll automatically add the feed. You can add feeds via your BlackBerry, or using their website. Something happens to your BlackBerry? Just re-install, enter your username and password and viola, all feeds are back!!
If you ever need help, just send them an email and they are quick to respond to address any of your concerns.
Cons: The only thing that I don't like is when you send an article from Viigo, it automatically adds [viigo] to the subject line, but you don't know they did that until after the email is sent. Other then that, no other problems.

"I love it. I missed AvantGo for Palm, after going to Mac OS X, but not now."
Pros: The personalized RSS feeds. I can follow anything I want to.
Cons: It sure sucks the wham out of my battery life.

"The killer app for the BlackBerry device!"
Pros: If you are a news junkie using your laptop you need to stop. This intelligent application is a must have, you get instant updates on anything and everything on the web. This app and BB device is pretty much what RSS was invented for. Short, quick updates for anything you can think of, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc. Extremely useful.

"Fantastic blackberry application - eliminates need to use browser"
Pros: I've been a blackberry user for years and have tried many different applications. This is clearly a "must have" application for every blackberry. The RSS reader continuously updates links in the background (e.g., every hour). When I'm ready to catch up on things, I simply go into the application and can quickly read the news updates. I use it to keep track of local and international news from my hometown paper, the New York Times and the Jerusalem Post. I follow business news on the Wall Street Journal. I follow my sports teams on their individual feeds. I read technology reviews on CNET.
It is a much more efficient method than using the blackberry browser since all the news is updated without needing to wait for the browser to fetch each website and then story. In a couple of minutes, I can catch up on 20 different feeds.
Viigo provides a starter set of RSS feeds that can be easily selected. It also allows you to add your own feeds.
I give this software the highest possible rating.
