What's new in this version:

Version 6 includes several changes such as Windows Vista and Vista x64 are fully supported, the graphical interface of the main VentaFax application has been significantly redesigned, and the interface of the Message Wizard has been reworked.

  "I wouldn't suggest this software"

  Pros: No PRO's known

  Cons: Poor installation routine.
  Clunky interface
  Doesn't show up in Control Panel for uninstalled - which worries me.

  Summary: I loaded this which took awhile and was uncomfortably unusual with interface questions during installation and how data input was requested. Following the install I discovered that my modem was not "voice capable" ...this would have been nice to kno... read more >>

  Version: VentaFax & Voice 6

  "Works on Windows Vista 64bit"

  Pros: Easy installation, a lot of features, works on Vista 64. Detected modem automatically, was able to turned on features based on modem capabilities. Minimizes to task to receive faxes automatically.

  Cons: The UI is not streamlined, extra windows come up when you don't really need/expect them. the App is very powerfull, so it has a lot of setup and options that make it harder to manage, they are not well organized.

  Summary: I installed on a HP Pavilion with Windows Vista 64, it does exactly what it says it says. Software UI could be cleaned up, especially some of the options and log screens.

  "Be very carefull working with these guys!"

  Pros: The software is working fairly good after you spend the time solving the different configurational problems

  Cons: The worst customer service and support you can expect.
  If you need to reinstall the software, your serial will not work and they will tell you to buy the new version.
  If you loose your serial, they will as you to purchase a new version.

  Summary: I had to reinstall my computer and redownloaded the program.
  the serial did not work and the support reply was to repurchase the product (gave me a discount coupon) and was extremely rude to me on the email.

  "Doesn't work"

  Pros: Looks nice. Its SUPPOSED to work with Vista 64 bit. At least that is what was advertised.

  Cons: Too hard to figure out. Will not work with my computer. I have a HP pavillion laptop brand new with Vista 64 bit..

  Summary: I like that I can use it free before I pay for it and then find out it will not work for me. I have had this trial for 8 weeks and can't get it to work. I chose it because it seemed to be the only one I could find that was compatible with Vista 64 ... read more >>

  "Excellent program, well with the money"

  Pros: Aside from all the good working tools I found necessary for a phone system, the one touch record function alone makes it especially nice. It can also be set to auto, It works more easily and troublefree than any recording system Ive used in 20 years.

  Cons: I dont know of any problems unless you could consider that the ability to edit many advanced settings could confuse someone who knows very little about phone signals, commands etc. But its really not necessary to reset them anyway.

  Summary: Its a great program for the money and especially if you want to organize, identify, file, filter or record your calls, faxes and data. I had a problem with my phone line once, not their program. Their tech service was extremely knowledgeable to pinp... read more >>
