Retrieve your fax and voice messages from any touchtone phone, plus have your e-mail messages and faxes forwarded to you as e-mail attachments.
VentaFax also supports Caller ID and allows you to record a telephone conversation with a single click. Version 5.71 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: Venta Fax & Voice 5.71
Pros: It's more of a 4.5 stars... I don't understand the absolute negative review. The interface is nice looking, it works and installs fine.
Cons: $50 bux seems too much... 29.99 would've been an easy sell for me...

"Far superior to FaxTalk Messenger Pro 7"
Pros: The features are great, such as automatically sending all voice messages and incoming faxes to my Outlook Inbox - wow! Huge array of configuration options. Frequent updates mean these guys are very actively trying to improve their product and eliminate bugs. Just the opposite of FaxTalk Messenger Pro 7, which has nice features, but is a dead product and still crashes (crashed) my system regularly (I used FaxTalk for several frustrating years until recently switching to Venta Fax & Voice.)
Cons: Configuration is very confusing -- lots of options and it's hard to know what they all are for, but the help system does a surprisingly good job of explaining it. And the front end where you view faxes and voice mails that have come in is not nearly as intuitive as it could be - but that's not such a big deal since I have the program forward everything into my Outlook Inbox anyway. Also it's too bad that you need to buy the business edition to have the incoming faxes saved as pdf files -- something that should be a given in any version. But I'm so fed up with FaxTalk Messenger Pro that I'll gladly pay the cost to have a product that actually works without crashing my computer on a regular basis.

"Install, detect modem, and send fax easily"
Pros: It run perfectly on my laptop. The interface is good. It animate document while sending to "fax". It also play some sound effect while try to connect, send, and finish sending.
Cons: It too expensive (about US$50). May be because it also have "voice mail"/answering machine capable. But I do not need one.
