VIEW converts to and from ASCII / ANSI / UNIX, including save to UNIX format. VIEW has various text search and print functions. Text search parameters can be maintained across multiple files. Print and save to file functions include entire file, selected block, or just lines containing (or omitting) specified text. Files can be printed directly via the compressed print utilities 2COL and JETCOL. A "quick view" mode allows you to read just the beginning of files. VIEW features a special scrolling display mode that is particularly useful for visually-impaired users with a voice synthesizer. It is fully customizable shareware that is NOT crippled. Use it as a file viewer for e-mail and file manager programs such as DDIR for DOS (see below) and ZTree for Windows and OS/2. Ideal for viewing files on the HP Palmtop computer.
