Turn your desktop into a notepad for sketches, memos, and ideas. Ultimate Pen creates an invisible drawing surface above or below your application windows and icons. A small palette provides tools such as a pen, an eraser, a keyboard, a circle, a square, and some basic colors. We like that you can hide the entire menu bar for maximum screen real estate. While Ultimate Pen succeeds in its simplicity, we couldn't help but wish for a few extra features, such as more controls for type, support for images, and transparency. But overall, we found Ultimate Pen a fantastic tool for the everyday user.Publisher's description

Version: Ultimate Pen 1.4.5
Pros: Easy to use and quick to launch. You can keep it running with little drain on system resources. Assign a custom hot key to enable it.
Cons: Missing a few key features like a larger eraser, cut a selection. Width of lines and boxes is not configurable.

"Handy little tool and reasonably priced."
Pros: This is a great tool for 'writing/drawing' on your screen. It's wonderful for working with kids when teaching writing skills, especially when practicing editing. It has a simple interface & is very easy to learn. Company is helpful, updates are free.
Cons: The passcode changes frequently.
