    "My favorite Twitter tool!"

    July 16, 2014   |   By HenryMoskowitz

    Version: TweetDeck 3.3.7.0

    Pros

Allows users to read news feeds, reply to messages and comments, schedule posts, and more.

    Cons

Twitter only, which might seem to be a limitation.

    Summary

Nice free tool to manage an unlimited number of accounts on Twitter. There might be way more elaborated tools, but if you need managing Twitter only, TweetDeck is a great way to go. There's also a web-based app.

    "Switch to something new"

    May 29, 2013   |   By BodoKachari

    Version: TweetDeck 2.7.1

    Pros

It's a reminder of what TweetDeck once was

    Cons

It's a bad reminder of what TweetDeck once was

    Summary

TweetDeck was a rock-star, but now its desktop version is dying. I personally switched to BuzzBundle a couple of months ago and it's a perfect alternative to TweetDeeck.

    "New Tweetdeck"

    May 05, 2013   |   By marabelleblue

    Version: TweetDeck 2.7.1

    Pros

Not one pro I can find for the new tweetdeck.

    Cons

The worst. Where is the simplicity? Everything was one stop update, now everyone wants to separate. No good.

    Summary

If it wasn't broken why fix it? People are so over the top and forget the simplicity of why something was working in the first place.

"Twitter has successfully destroyed this client."

    April 12, 2013   |   By firerunner99

    Version: TweetDeck 2.7.1

    Pros

It is now apparent to everyone that Twitter hates its users.

    Cons

This version of Tweetdeck is an abomination. Please just kill the program and put it out of its misery. Inferior to the previous version in every way.

"Program does not deserve the name of "TweetDeck""

    April 08, 2013   |   By Green_Star1

    Version: TweetDeck 2.7.1

    Pros

    Well it is free

    Cons

    Very few user options
you cannot paste text into tweets you have to type each one

    Summary

If Twitter hated TweetDeck so much why did they just quit putting it out instead of degrading it more with each version upgrade ?
There is less user options with each upgrade and the bells and whistles of the original TweetDeck are long gone.

"Only 1 star until retweet bug is fixed"

    November 23, 2012   |   By dalejava

    Version: TweetDeck 2.1

    Pros

Clean interface, multi-column list view keeps tweets organized

    Cons

Before Twitter bought this, it was great. After, Twitter "enhanced" it and broke the block retweet function. Still broken for many, many months with no fix.

    Summary

Track down the old version and stick with it. Some mildly useful updates don't make up for breaking a product, then not fixing it

"What, if anything, were they thinking?"

    July 25, 2012   |   By SW_A

    Version: TweetDeck 1.5.2

    Pros

It didn't crash or lock my PC.

    Cons

I was hoping to find something for my PC as convenient and useful as Tweetcaster is on my Kindle Fire. So, I downloaded and tried Tweetdeck. One thing after another seemed to not work. Things that would logically be included weren't. The screen display is oversized and unmanageable.

The best software is logical and intuitive because the programmer(s) anticipated what capabilities you would want and when, and how you would use them. Tweetdeck, unfortunately, took me back to the bad old days of clunky, illogical software that doesn't justify the space it takes up or the time it takes to install and cope with its quirks and inadequacies.

After installing Tweetdeck, it was such a disappointment I thought maybe there had been a hiccup during installation. I uninstalled it, rebooted and reinstalled. I then gave the program another try. After thinking about it overnight, I uninstalled it.

    Summary

If Tweetdeck's programmers happen by and read this, I challenge them to try Tweetcaster on a Kindle Fire or other Android tablet. Then, scrap what you've done and start over.

"Created an account here just to give it 1 star"

    July 12, 2012   |   By zlc3

    Version: TweetDeck 1.4

    Pros

None. Not one. Twitter took the best twitter client & turned it into the worst.
Ability to see your followers tweets to other twitter members you don't follow? Gone!
    Spellchecker? Gone!
    Deck.ly? Gone!
    Post update on enter? Gone!

    Cons

Everything! I can't even get it to snap to half screen in windows 7. or even manually adjust it to fit half screen. No matter what you do it'll take up over half the screen. You can't right click. Yup. Try it! *Right click* nothing happens!

    Summary

Every client that comes out that is better than the official twitter POS, twitter either gets it shut down, or buys it. & in the case of Tweetdeck they bought it & ruined it. You suck Twitter! Screw you!

"Not as good as the original TweetDeck BUT"

    May 31, 2012   |   By Green_Star1

    Version: TweetDeck 1.4

    Pros

does a fantastic job on monitoring multiple list
marks tweets that you retweet so that you don't waste time trying to retweet.
It is the easiest on system resources that I have found 5 stars on this.
It does not appear to be limited on API calls like other programs

    Cons

You have to type in each tweet you can NOT copy and past.
It will not accept Facebook settings just gives you a blank screen.
    has a dismal color scheme

    Summary

Twitters TweetDeck does not yet have the cool of the original TweetDeck. But it does have more features that any of the other programs that I checked And the fact that it uses less system resource that any of the other big name programs that I checked is a biggie. In these days when the it takes all you have to run the anti virus programs

    Pros

Everything good about Tweetdeck has been stripped away.

    Cons

Everything. No spellcheck, wasted screen space, two clicks to see someones tweets. Everything.
