The TubeTilla YouTube Downloader is an easy application for downloading videos from YouTube and converting them into a number of supported formats.
This application offers a number of conversion formats. There's YouTube FLV, MP4, MP3, iPhone, WMV, and a few more. It took about 3 minutes to download and convert a 3-minute video into YouTube MP4. A 15-minute video took 16 minutes, so the download time varies depending on the length of the video. The videos came out clear and with good sound. There isn't any noticeable difference between the downloaded version and the one on YouTube. Not all URLs that you enter will be valid, so it's not possible to download everything that you want. What does download, though, you will be able to get quickly. There aren't that many other features to TubeTilla. There's no Help page, but its Web site does pop up when you first download it. You can't search for videos directly in the application, either. You can take an already downloading FLV/MP4 and convert it again, however, which is a nice feature. Overall, it doesn't have as much to offer as some of the other download applications out there. If you're looking for something simple, though, this is a good choice.
Downloading and installing this was easy. For the actual installation process, there was a page suggesting we download RealPlayer, but it's not a requirement to finish installing. Besides that, there wasn't much to it. Easy.

"Someone LIED!"

Don't know couldn't get to open.
Cons
I specifically asked for free/free to try progs. I installed and initiated prog. On third (+) attempt to open, said "Free version deactivated, Upgrade now." & shut itself down. Someone LIED!
Summary
If I can help it, I'm not going to buy something unless I can verify that the prog will work for me. I don't appreciate something being advertized as FREE and being FREE!

Does exactly what it says. Very easy and simple to use.

You have to sign off of the internet to start it up. Then wait until it is loaded. Then you can reconnect and continue as noraml.

It is listed as free software but as soon as I had downloaded it I was told that the "free trial" had expired and I was invited to buy the "Pro" version.
cnet should remove these conmen before they damage its reputation.Summary

It might have been a good program but I can't even see the initial screen--it immediately pops up a message saying that the free version has expired and I should upgrade to the pro version. I'm not spending good money for bad programming.

Once was a great program but there's no longer any support. If you don't believe me go to the website and look under 'support forum'. I have both the free and paid versions and separate computers and neither is available.

Mp3 Convert, Easy to use and now i have all my favourite songs and some tunes where i can't find the mp3.

Not much, but 1 download at a time.. pretty reasonable.. for a good product like this and it's free.

I trusted this software by relying on the CNet Editor's rating and review. I downloaded, installed and only then was alerted that I am required to upgrade to Pro. Pretty poor form to make a user go through the entire process before any kind of warning. Would like CNET to review immediately!
