A relatively simple database app that searches and displays trademark facts for various companies, TrademarkHunter hogs too much PC space for the limited amount of information it provides. Featuring a simple, Explorer-like interface, the program lets you search for a trademark using a number of variables, including serial number, registration number, and keywords. However, in some tests, the keyword search failed to download the information we requested. We also were disappointed to discover that TrademarkHunter doesn't have its own browser and must open all documents via the Web. However, the trial version's restrictions prove its biggest undoing. For example, the program includes only a handful of samples instead of the entire database. Moreover, the trial version shows mostly dead trademarks and only a few live ones. Because of these constraints, we don't think TrademarkHunter is worth the download unless you're a potential buyer who needs access to its entire database.Publisher's description
