Town and Country Christmas Screensaver is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and add some snowy cheer to your computer screen. With charming graphics and easy-to-use interface, this could become as much of a Christmas staple as a tree in the front room.
This program's interface will be immediately familiar to anyone who has used a screensaver through Windows. The program doesn't have its own controls, instead embeds itself into the computer's screensaver catalog. There is no Help file, but users shouldn't find any trouble managing this screensaver. The screensaver features scenes of what appears to be New York's Central Park and a pleasant forest pass during a snow storm. The park features a skyline in the background, with people crossing a bridge and a bold red cardinal flying around. The country scenery is of a fence next to a densely wooded area as the snow falls. A sleigh ride cuts across the screen as it all happens. While we liked that the program altered between night and day, we thought it changed much too fast, going from one to the other in a matter of seconds. The program provides no special features, which disappointed us. Even something as simple as a speed control would have been great. However, this limitation doesn't take away from a fantastic screensaver.
With charming scenes of snowy cities and wilderness, this freeware program is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit.

"Very christmassy, priced to sell!"
Pros: Agree with everything dairecg says
Cons: Music (or an option to play your own) would be nice. Ability to slow the transitions would be good too. Some scenes start/end with snow on landscapes, would be good to see those for longer.

"Very nice screensaver with lovely scenes."
Pros: A very peaceful scenes. Not a very noisy or loud screensaver like some I have downloaded. Gets you in the mood for the holidays.
Cons: No music. If it only had some kind of soothing Christmas music.
Summary: I really like this product. Nothing flashy or overbearing like some screensavers. It just has a very relaxing theme to it. You can really enjoy it.
