This animated clock adds flair to your desktop and won't drain your finances. When you launch Toon Clock, you'll see a large red clock displaying a cartoon rendition of Uncle Sam, with his arms acting as the clock hands. But you're not stuck with this theme, as the application offers numerous options for customizing the display. You can choose from different character body styles, then tack on various heads, including those of John Kerry, Martha Stewart, and a devil. In addition, Toon Clock lets you change the style of the clock and even tweak its color values for a truly customized timepiece. If you find the app too obtrusive at its default size, you'll appreciate the abilities to make it smaller and undock it. Like any decent clock app, this one will let you set alarms, although you can't configure monthly ones. The bare-bones calendar utility is nothing special, but the tool for syncing Toon Clock with atomic servers is an unexpected and appreciated bonus. Since this program is totally free, we can recommend it to anyone seeking an alternative to the built-in Windows clock.

  "Um... it is kinda dull."

  Pros: It works.

  Cons: It is pretty laim. It is hard to make it funny. And it is really big. Also you have to manually open the clock every time you start your computer in order to have it visable on your desk top.

  "Download Link STILL BROKEN!!!"

  Pros: It is now March 1st, 2009 and the download link is still broken! It looks like the vendor's website is gone for good.

  Cons: What a shame, I really wanted to test Toon Clock. I can't see a way to advise download.com about this broken link so I guess it will stay broken for another 6 months!

  Please add functionality that will allow users to report broken download links.
