From Nonlinear Ideas :Time Tracker allows you to manage how time is spent on your projects. It records when you start, when you stop, and what you worked on, down to the second. It has extensive reporting capabilities, allowing you to focus on a specific project, task, or time period. Reports can be generated in Excel, HTML, or CSV formats. The interface is designed to be simple and intuitive, while the program has a large number of features that are easy to access. Time Tracker can automatically stop/restart, record the name of every program you use (for proof of work), and even operate in "stealth" mode to record what is happening on your computer when you are not there. All these features are easily configurable. Time Tracker even allows you to track the monetary value of the services you have provided.

"Great Choice for Hourly Billing"
Pros: ? Easy to setup clients
? Easy to tag projects
? Generates reports in html
? Hides in the tray
I use the software to bill my hosting/web development clients. It offers click simplicity where I can select an ongoing project and start/stop my timing. When all is said and done individual records can be edited and reports generated to bill clients. With copy and paste I can email invoices and demonstrate time entries with notes.
Cons: The html reports are great for email invoicing but sure look like crap. I couldn't figure out how to make them look half way decent and was unsuccessful in coercing the author to develop a template system.
Does not have a pause button so I find myself editing entries.
