We like the look of OS X, but at some point everyone wants a little variation--even on their desktop. If you have a special concept in mind for a desktop design that's a bit further out there, ThemePark is a tool that can get you there. ThemePark helps keep the process clean with an intuitive editing interface that uses a plain-language hierarchy of every theme element. You can create new themes or modify existing ones (or even modify individual applications)--just draw buttons, title bars, and other widgets in any graphics editor, then paste them into ThemePark as elements of a new theme. If you're not the artistic type, you can use borrowed graphics for your designs as well. The application also lets you work in multiple windows, preview live as you go, and track which aspects you've already tinkered with. Overall, this software is great for both professional designers and those who just like to tinker.Publisher's description
From GeekSpiff :Down with Aqua! ThemePark lets you give your computer a style of its own. Use ThemePark to create or modify the way Mac OS X looks, as well as to change the appearance of individual applications. Just draw titlebars, buttons, and other widgets in the graphics editor of your choice, and paste them into ThemePark to create a new theme or modify an existing one.
With ThemePark, you can:
- Create new themes simply by pasting in your own graphics;
- Merge your theme with an existing one to use it as a base or to make small tweaks to someone else's theme;
- Quickly preview your theme while you're constructing it;
- Easily find the element you're looking for using ThemePark's smart organization, filtering, and inline hints;
- Choose a way of organizing your theme elements that's right for you;
- Save in-progress themes and easily see which areas you've already modified;
- Edit resource files found inside of many applications;
- Export your themes in 'dlta' or 'xscheme' format to share with the rest of the world.
What's new in this version:
- Added ability to edit resource files that store their data in their resource fork. This allows many Carbon programs to be tweaked.
- A file's other (non-resource-based) file forks are now preserved after editing.
- A file's flags (such as a custom icon) are now preserved after editing.
- Zoomed images in all editors but pxm# are no longer antialiased or interpolated (again!).
- Moved the "Blue Toolbar" resources out of the obsolete category since they aren't ... see all new features
