This screensaver provides a large variety of scenic images from around the world, but a few issues temper our enthusiasm. The World's collection of images span all corners of the globe, displaying such famous landmarks as the Statue of Liberty and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. However, since all images lack informative captions, most users won't recognize the vast majority of the application's shots. Image quality also is a problem. While a few shots appear clear and professionally done, many look dark and faded. The program's feature set is quite small, only allowing you to choose which transition effects should be used; we especially missed the ability to determine the interval between images. You'll see a box for disabling background sounds, but even when we left it unchecked, we heard nothing. All told, The World is strictly a mediocre option.Publisher's description
