The Newwws automates Internet web page checking, allowing you to make productive use of your time confident that The Newwws will remember to check regularly and draw your attention to changes.

It has over 3000 pre-configured 'sources' already available, covering a range of topics. e.g. News, Politics, TV, Weather, Traffic, Travel, Entertainment, Sports (including Football, Motor-racing, Rugby, NFL, NHL, NBA, WNBA), Health, Jokes, Trivia, Technology, Business and The Economy, US Local and State News, and a number of respected publications and information resources.

The program extracts text ('headlines'), associated links and speech bubble summaries with images where possible from web pages then shows them on the desktop in either a scrolling ticker or a pop-up list. Keyword filtering of the headlines, options to check POP3 mailboxes and LAN files/folders for changes enhance this all purpose Windows ticker.
