Check the headlines of online news sources from your desktop with The Newwws, though you may wish it were easier to set up. It resides in the system tray and includes a news ticker and watcher with options to keep the first always on top. The program is preset to monitor Reuters and BBC headlines, and these scroll rapidly by on the ticker, though you can modify scroll speed. You can easily select sites you wish to add to the ticker or use the watcher to notify you if a site's content changes, as long as these sites are included in the program's preloaded options. You won't be able to access the program's editor, which allows you to add your own sites to monitor, from the system tray menu. You'll need to open it from the program's folder. Despite some complexities in setup, intermediate to advanced users will appreciate having the news readily available without surfing the Web.Publisher's description
