• Automates Internet webpage checking - allowing you to make productive use of your time rather than occasionally checking if web-sites have changed confident that The Newwws will remember to check regularly and draw your attention to changes.
• Has over 3000 pre-configured "sources" already available, covering a range of topics. e.g. News, Politics, TV, Weather, Traffic, Stocks and Shares, Travel, Entertainment, Sports (including Football, Motor-racing, Rugby, NFL, NHL, NBA, WNBA), Health, Jokes, Trivia, Technology, Business and The Economy, US Local and State News and a number of respected publications and information resources.
• Extracts text ("headlines"), associated links and speech bubble summaries with images where possible from the web pages then shows them on the desktop in either a scrolling ticker or a popup list.
• Displays or sounds an alert when things change.
• Allows keyword filtering of the extracted headlines to include or exclude headlines based on their content.
• Can automatically print changed pages or linked-to pages if required.
• Can re-synchronise active sources with those on The Newwws Exchange - to update sources to latest versions.
• Includes The Newwws Editor that provides a wizard and browser style interface to allow users to create additional sources to monitor web pages of their choice and extract "headlines" from them.These can then be sent via email to others or submitted to The Newwws Exchange for users throughout the world to download.
