Despite lacking a Help file, KMPlayer is one of the most powerful freeware video players we've seen. It includes a vast array of video- and audio-capturing options, as well as skins, a plethora of playback controls and tweaks, and broad DVD support.
You'll have to learn the ropes yourself, perhaps a hindrance to newcomers. But if you're familiar with where things ought to be in programs, and willing to patiently wait for mouse-over labels to pop up and then click on them for the actual menus, KMPlayer has the potential to be immensely rewarding. It supports all major file formats, and all of the minor and obscure ones we tested. It did have problems with the RealPlayer 11's video capture IVR format, but not much else.
Advanced options include frame capture and a frame-forward feature, which is actually a fractional Play button, but the difference is negligible. The Pause button is a fast responder, too. Combined with streaming TV and HDTV compatibility, playlists, and the ability to select which codec is used on a video-by-video basis, and you get a media player that demands attention.

"The KMPlayer "The Complete Player""
Pros: The Title Says its all. Its the Complete Media Player in terms of all aspects, than the much-Hyped players like Real, Winamp WMP11, VLC, Quintessential & ......
+Its Free; No Viruses, adwares etc.
+It even plays "3gp files" what else u r looking for.
Cons: Sound Quality is not as great as Sonuique, but its good.
Not intuitive as it has many options; but definitely worth installing.

The video capturing feature is great and in slow-moving mode more clarity can be seen(The 'slow-moving mode" is a new feature by which you can reduce the speed of the video while playing.) KMPlayer is really a comprehensive one having lot of features.
It can set multifarious audio&video effects and it is customizable with a wide selection of skins&color schemes, but the configuration is extremely extensive.It is a fantastic player for the professionals and for a common user he/she requires much patience to set&test the configurations. Pros: Amazing that this is free.
I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the best video player I have ever used. I only use it for video because I keep Kmplayer on my big screen and do not want my mp3's loading on that monitor, but if you use it as an audio player, it works great too, super fast it loads in fractions of a second.
It is easy enough to use just like any other media player, but it has extremely advanced features! Multiple audio streams, or multiple subtitles. Many video signal alterations.
One of my favorite features is that I can play a widescreen movie and stretch it vertically to fit a bit more of the screen, it will begin to stretch the video if you go too far but you can literally use the number pad keys to stretch or shrink the video all you want in fullscreen mode! The best feature like it so far! In a free player!
Will play basically ALL audio/video files that you will possibly ever need to open with its internal codecs, you do NOT need to install ANY codecs to play files. Even Divx, Xvid are all internal, no extra software needed. The only codecs that you will need are realplayer and quicktime, simply download Real Alternative and Quicktime alternative (because Realplayer and Quicktime player are garbage bloatware applications that nobody should ever use) and the codecs will automatically install to Kmplayer so it can play all Real and Quicktime files. So easy, so good for your system resources.
I have already recommended this to friends and family.
Cons: Absolutely nothing, honestly the best media player I have ever used

Pros: It is just so feature-rich, it makes WMP look like a toy. Many more features than other mediaplayers such as winamp or gom for example.
