Its use is originally intended for teachers using precision teaching methods to determine the grade level and overall difficulty of a specific reading passage. The Fryinator calculates readability statistics based on the number of syllables, words, and sentences in the passage. These statistics can be used, via various formulas, to determine certain characteristics of the reading passage.
