Version: TaxAct 2005 Standard Edition 1
"What a great and easy program and it's completely FREE!"
Pros: I did my taxes with a full refund of every penny I paid in, electronically and FREE! It took about 30 minutes time to complete and file. If your income is not too complicated and you don't have a lot of deductions, this program is for you.
Cons: Not much con. Yes, there is a lot of ads for Second Story software and upgrades, but a click of the mouse and they are gone!

"Adequate, but the price can't be beat"
Pros: Fills out all the tax forms for the user by asking questions. Print and e-file for free!
Cons: Long and misleading questions. Screwed me up a couple times, then I had to do it over to fix problems. Probably not for a beginner with an involved return. Ads every third screen.
